Halcyon H. Teed ’s
paintings are traditional impressionistic oil and pastel paintings of plein air landscapes / seascapes, still
life, floral, person and animal portraits.
The impressionist vision of colors and values in her paintings is a
continuation of the early 20th century “Boston School Ten” tenets of
their classical training received in Paris combined with the plein air
knowledge and freedom gained from Monet.
She has
exhibited nationally since the late sixties winning over 60 awards to date. Most notably the National Arts Guild, Pastel
Society of America {“Best Pastel” and Adrianna Zahn “Best Floral”] Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art
